Projects Study/History

Project requirements were for an onsite sewage treatment system that would handle a 225 man work camp in Siberia, Russia.

Limitations were that the maximum size for shipping purposes was that each container was not to be greater than 20 ft and not exceed 10 metric tons in weight.

Eight (8) new cargo containers were purchased and insulated with rigid foam insulation.

Seven (7) steel epoxy coated steel tanks were fabricated to specific dimensions to fit within the insulated cargo containers.

The steel tanks were also designed to meet specific treatment functions and allow for access and servicing at only one (1) end of the tank.

All interconnecting pipe works and service access were accomplished at the cargo containers' door ends.

The steel tanks functions were for settling, additional grease interception, pre-aeration for BOD removal, FAST® BioFilter Treatment system and final discharge pump package to dispersal site.

Once the tanks were fabricated and quality checked they were ready for install into the cargo containers.

Each tank came complete with a 4" diameter camlock drain fitting.

The steel tank is inserted into its appropriate insulated cargo container
